Pronounced: NAZE-oh-necks
Generic name: Mometasone furoate monohydrate
Nasonex nasal spray prevents and relieves the runny stuffy nose that accompanies hay fever and year-round allergies. It contains a steroid medication that fights inflammation.
ADULTS
The recommended dose for adults and children 12 years of age and older is 100mcg (2 sprays) into each nostril once a day.
CHILDREN
For children 3 to 11 years of age the recommended dose is 50mcg (one spray) in each nostril once a day. The safety and effectiveness of Nasonex have not been established for children under 3.
