Yes. You must have a valid prescription issued by a doctor licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
If this is your first prescription order with Canadian Meds USA, you will need to complete and sign the Customer Registration form. As stated in the instructions for "How to Order", this information can be submitted online, faxed to us using our toll-free fax number (1-877-933-3625), emailed or mailed to us. Your prescription can then either be faxed or mailed to us.
Once your prescription from your U.S. doctor and your completed Medical Profile have been received by our affiliated Canadian pharmacy, your prescription will be filled as written. The drug and strength as written on the prescription will be dispensed. However, our affiliated Canadian pharmacy will substitute approved generic drugs for brand name drugs when available unless your U.S. physician indicates on the prescription that no substitutions are allowed, OR unless you indicate to us that you do not want substitutions made. NOTE: Canadian Meds USA and its affiliated Canadian pharmacy will NOT fill prescriptions for narcotics or other controlled substances such as benzodiazepines.
You may only order as much as your U.S. doctor prescribes for you. Additionally, all prescriptions are limited to a maximum of a 90-day supply for any one fill (or refill). (Please note: It is permissible to issue 100 tab/capsule quantities under this restriction.)
No additional or special form is needed when ordering refills. If you have refills remaining on your existing prescription and are using Direct Debit as your method of payment, all that is required is an
email to firstname.lastname@example.org, a fax to our toll-free fax number (1-877-933-3625), or a call to our customer service
department at 1-877-933-0505. (and your personal check or money order, if you are using this method of payment).
However, if you are using a check or money order to make payment, you will of course need to mail your check or money order to us. No other information is needed unless there has been a change in your address, health, in the strengths or quantities of the medications you're taking, or in the method of payment.
Transfers of prescriptions from U.S. pharmacies to pharmacies outside the U.S. are not possible.
The governments of most other countries impose price controls on the sale of prescription drugs, whereas the United States does not.
Canadian Meds USA's affiliated Canadian pharmacy will not fill prescriptions for narcotics or other controlled substances such as benzodiazepines.
Yes. Our affiliated Canadian pharmacy will fill prescriptions for pets written by a licensed veterinarian if the prescribed drug is not a specialized "for animals only" medication.
For different reasons, not all drugs available in the United States are available outside the United States.
Even though a different name may be used in another country for the same medication, the brand names being used are names that have been registered by the same manufacturer. The same manufacturers may also change the appearance of the medication for various marketing reasons.
Because of differences in the drug patent laws between the U.S. and other countries such as Canada, generic versions of certain brand name drugs can be legally purchased in other countries even though those generic drugs are not currently available in the U.S.
The generic drugs available through Canadian Meds USA come from regulated sources and are subject to strict manufacturing standards. They contain the same active ingredient, in the same strength, as the corresponding brand name drug - and are safely used by millions of people on a daily basis. Many generic drugs are now manufactured in India and are commonly sold in the U.S. (but at a higher price than is generally the case outside the U.S.).
- Direct Debit - Sometimes referred to as "e-check", the use of Direct Debit does not require any additional information other than what is already included on your checks (e.g., bank name, bank routing number and account number).
Direct Debit is a secure way to pay for your orders, and can also help to avoid any delays related to the use of a check. Payment by Direct Debit can be set up by emailing, faxing or mailing a voided copy of one of your checks - OR you can simply provide this information over the phone at 1-877-933-0505.

CMUSA's current inability to accept payment by credit card was caused by a sudden and unexpected change in policy in 2018 by VISA/MasterCard. This change was not directed specifically at CMUSA or our affiliated pharmacy, but appears rather to have been part of a broad plan to combat the ongoing opioid epidemic. (Please note that CMUSA has never offered narcotics or controlled substances for sale during its 16-year history.) While we remain committed in our efforts to restore a credit card payment option for our customers, we currently don't know when, or even if, this will be possible.
No. There are no hidden fees. Shipping is Always Free on orders over $50.
Unfortunately, because our services are treated as being rendered outside the U.S., we cannot accept your insurance coverage. However, you will be given a receipt so that you can file an insurance claim.
As noted elsewhere, shipping is FREE on orders of $50 or more. Your prescription order is shipped by a combination of International First-Class mail and the U.S. Postal Service. Orders are generally delivered within 10 to 14 days after shipment, assuming all required documentation has been received by the pharmacy and that the medication ordered is not on back order. Please note that we strongly recommend that you keep at least a 30-day supply of your existing prescription drugs on hand.
Just as in the United States, Canadian pharmacies, as well as pharmacies in other "first world" countries, are prohibited from using returned drugs. However, if an error by the pharmacy results in a customer receiving drugs that should not have been shipped, a credit or refund will be issued.
